Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are the following: acquainting students with the terminology of the leisure pedagogy; making students aware of the human conception of the modern leisure pedagogy; analyzing leisure education for different age groups in the contemporary world. In the seminar, the student: - learns about the possibilities of educational use of various kinds of games directly and indirectly related to experiential education; - creates a portfolio of games and gets familiar with other students’ games in the context of personality development.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to: - understand and explain the modern trends of the conception of leisure; - interpret the result of the empirical research of leisure time; - evaluate the offer program of leisure institutions; - make reasoned decisions about the leisure program. and than ● is able to orientate in contemporary methods and techniques from the areas of leisure-time pedagogy, outdoor and experiential learning ● is able to handle the dynamics, cohesion and atmosphere of the client group ● is able to prepare, implement and evaluate a lesson for heterogeneous learning groups with regard to the organization of work with them. ● is able to lead clients by means of the methods of experiential pedagogy ● has a clear level of self experience for team management and for tutoring the clients

  • 1. Concept and definition of leisure time. 2. Historical aspects of leisure time. 3. Features and functions of leisure time. 4. Educational use of leisure time. 5. Typology of leisure activities about different target groups. 6. Didactic aspects of leisure activities. Animative didactics. 7. Game as an educational tool. 8. Physical and sports leisure activities. 9. Personality of an educator (animator) of leisure time. 10. Use of educational diagnostics in leisure activities. 11. Associations and organizations of youth leisure. 12. Organizational, educational, economic etc. aspects of leisure activities. 13. Use of experiential education in leisure activities.
