- Course objectives
- Students will gain general knowledge of media landscape and its segments. They will become familiar with the basic journalistic genres. Students will also learn how to present their environmental research in popular form and they will elaborate their own media outupts, which will be provided with individual feedback. Professional journalists will share with students experience from print media, TV, radio and from data journalism.

- 1. Introduction to the labyrinth of media
- 2. Map of green media in the Czech Republic and worldwide + their relationship with civic sector
- 3. Environmental issues in the big media; case study: media & climate change
- 4. Publishing process; scientific vs. popular text
- 5. Topic selection and sources of information
- 6. News coverage and its basic genres
- 7. Interview
- 8. Reportage
- 9. Investigative & analytic approach
- 10. Commentary, gloss, collumn
- 11. Online media
- 12. Photo, video, audio
- 13. Data journalism
- Teaching methods
