Course objectives
The aim of the course is for the student to work on the dissertation thesis within the wider group of other doctoral students. The goal for the students of the first Research Seminar is to clarify the basic working hypotheses and research methodology for their doctoral thesis. The students should present their progress in these areas within the seminar and engage in discussion.
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to define the working hypotheses, objectives and methodology of the dissertation project and will be able to support them with complex arguments in discussion with other students and teachers.

Assessment methods
Credits are awarded for active attendance of at least 70% of the seminar sessions and presentation of one’s own dissertation project with focus on its goals, working hypotheses and methodology.
