Course objectives
The course aims to introduce students to the merits and relevance of evaluation research as a social science that serves to evaluate various aspects of programs in social policy and human resource development. Three main domains are covered. The first domain aims to the evaluation research definition and its key characteristics. The second domain concerns choosing an appropriate approach to evaluation, based on the evaluation criteria, the purpose and contents of social programs and context of the situation. The third domain introduces students to evaluation procedures, including practical aspects of evaluation in the concrete approaches.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, students should be able to: • understand the merits of evaluation • formulate reasoned decisions about apropriate research aproach and methodology. • conduct selected analytical approaches in the evaluation
