The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course is the development of knowledge, skills and abilities important for the preparation and implementation of research projects. The student will learn about existing grant schemes, their specifics, the principles of design, submission, preparation and management of research projects. Practical skills will be acquired in the preparation of a research project proposal. This can be any proposal related to dissertation research or a supervisor's research project where the student is a team member/co-investigator/investigator. After completing the course, the student is able to identify grant opportunities and independently prepare a research project application.

Syllabus
  • The course is completed on the basis of a) the student's involvement in the preparation of the grant application (usually in collaboration with his/her supervisor), or b) the completion of an externally organised workshop/course (e.g., a course provided centrally by MU or a workshop/course offered by other domestic or foreign institutions). Completion of the course is awarded by the supervisor for a) involvement in the preparation/writing of the grant application, b) active participation in the workshop/course evidenced by proof of completion or submission of a research project proposal. The supervisor decides on the number of credits and on the completion of the course based on the amount of hours/work involved in the preparation of the research project/educational event.
