Course objectives
The course is focusing on the history of international relations between 1648-1991.
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction 2. French foreign policy in the second half of the 17th century 3. European system of international relations in the first half of the 18th century. 4. European system of international relations in the second half of the 18th century 5. Napoleon and his agressions. 6. From the Crimean war to the fall of France. 7. WW I. 8. Versailles System. 9. WW II. 10.Forming of the bipolar system. 11.From Suez to Berlin crisis. 12.Detente. Afgan War. The end of Bipolarity.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Zkouška proběhne písemnou formou na konci semestru na základě probrané látky. V semestru je možné získat maximálně 100 bodů. V jeho průběhu může (ale povinně nemusí) posluchač získat 10 bodů za zpracování životopisného medailónku zadané významné historické osobnosti, nejvýše se však započítají dva za semestr. Opravné zkoušky se provádějí písemnou formou v celém rozsahu probrané látky. Zkušební termíny: 3.1.2001, 10.1.2001,17.1.2001, 24.1.2001. Všechny testy by měly probíhat v době od 16.00 hodin. v učebně J31.
