Course objectives (in Czech)
Základním cílem kurzu je detailnější rozbor problematiky místa náboženství v moderních společnostech, zvláště pak s ohledem na rovinu sociální integrace. Klíčovými koncepty v tomto kontextu budou koncepty modernizace a sekularizace. V průběhu kurzu bude sledováno, kterak byla daná problematika rozvíjena předními postavami sociologie náboženství. Řešena bude otázka existence tzv. sekularizačního paradigmatu a jeho adekvátnosti při analýze a interpretaci soudobých náboženských trendů v evropských společnostech. Studenti by postupně měli získat představu o komplexnosti dané problematiky, o dílčích rovinách a problémech s ní spjatých (dimenze sekularizace, problém aplikovatelnosti, pro- a anti-sekularizační faktory apod.). Náležitá pozornost bude věnována i kritice vybraných bodů sekularizačních teorií i konceptu samotného stejně jako metodologickým otázkám spjatých s operacionalizací konceptu sekularizace pro účely empirických šetření. Zvláštní pozornost bude věnována sekularizační problematice v kontextu postkomunistických zemí.
