Course objectives
This course is intended as an introduction into the terrorism research. Main objective of the course is to explain contemporary research problems , to analyze forms of terrorism (in relation to ideology and motivation) and to describe basic elements of the counterterrorism. Students should be able to understand and to analyze the contemporary terrorism as a specific political issue.

Ethnic and territorial terrorism 7. Ultraright terrorism 8. Ultraleft terrorism 9. Ecoterrorism, single-issue and other forms of terrorism 10. Concept of counterterrorism policy 11. International counterterrorism policy 12. Counterterrorism policy of the CR and the EU

Assessment methods
Each week: lectures, class discussions (including students presentations). Students will receive a final letter grade (A-F) for the semester based on the following components: 10% Presentation; 25% Seminary thesis; 15% In-Term assessment; 50% Final written exam. Grading: 56-60: A; 51-55: B; 46-50: C; 41-45: D; 36-40 E; 35-0: F.
