Course objectives
The seminar focuses on writing news reports and analysing them, including samples taken from the daily press. In the course of the seminar, students work with texts, assessing them critically, providing their comments and reviewing them. Working wit texts covers newspaper reports taken from the daily press, including tabloid news and sports pages, and at the same time, they are obliged to work with reports published in weekly papers and magazines. The aim is to familiarise with the knowledge and trends of current newspaper reporting. Students are also asked to produce their own reports, based on the critical assessment and discussion within individual seminars.
