- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to learn new theories of social and developmental psychology. Student will analyse new concepts and models, they also will study how these theoretical concepts inluence an empirical research.
- Syllabus
- The weekly schedule of lectures is as follows:
- Historical view: An influence of "classic: theories on contemporary social psychology(SP)
- Contemporary experimental social psychology
- Self psychology and the concept of identity
- Belief in a just world, social justice, and SP
- Gender stereotypes: theory, research, application
- Theory of social representations
- Language and social psychology: experimental approach
- Discourse, language, and social psychology
- Implict social cognition
- Theory of mind

- Teaching methods
- The course consists of weekly thematic modules that typically include reading of relevant chapters and papers, lectures, seminars and graded activities. Students are obliged read the assigned chapters and papers and use the IS e-learning system to read the supplemental literature, which is available electronically in PDF and/or Word format.
- Assessment methods
- Students are expectd to read the assigned literature, to prepare oral presentation, to write a theoretical paper. Final exam is based on written test.
