Course objectives
The course analyses the development, current state and main problem areas of international monetary and financial institutions. In this course a balanced interdisciplinar approach of international relations and economics is embraced.

Teaching methods
The course consists of both lectures and seminars in a roughly equal manner. The lectures introduce the basic concepts of international relations and economics required for adequate comprehension of the global financial institutions. They also give a necessary overview of the institutions themselves. The seminars will take the form of discussions over texts that introduce the problems typical for functioning of particural institutions.

Seminar participation, essay, written exam.
