- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to:
- understand the development of feminist film theory;
- explain the historical development of the process of establishing the female presentation in cinematography;
- apply the concept of film analysis using the gender perspective and feminist film theory;
This course offers an overview of the world filmography from the aspects of gender and feminist theories. It traces film genres being formed by ideologies, basic periodisation and typology of film production. The course stresses psychic, cultural, social and political relevance of the construction and distribution of visual information. It includes analyses of particular film extracts.; - Syllabus
