- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to introduce the possibility of individual psychology and its application options. At first will be presented Adler theory and follow-up work of Rudolf Dreikurs, as well as other current therapists or councellors. The course will focus on the use of individual psychological knowledge in many areas of psychology and teaching practice. The course will be conducted through self- experience activities. The main objectives of the course are the following: - improve teoretical knowledge - see the links between theoretical concepts of adlerian theory and its application possibilities - teach and train skills that students can use in practice - self-experience
- Syllabus
- Theory of individual psychology, basic concepts and philosophical background (holism, uniqueness, social interests, inferiority complex, compensation mechanism and the striving for perfection, life style, private logic ...)
- The individual psychological knowledge in education and pedagogy (child behavior and its understanding, the goals of misbehavior: attention, power, revenge, avoidance)
- Therapy and counselling I. (life style and its interpretation)
- Therapy and counselling II. (methods of analysing life style, early recollections)
- Therapy and counselling III. (metaphors in therapy, developing self-esteem through encouragement
