- Course objectives
- The course is inspired by the Joint Sessions format as organized by the European Consortium of Political Research. It is a meeting of researchers who present their manuscripts and receive feedback from discussant(s) as well as from auditorium.
- Learning outcomes
- The students will receive quality inputs which can be further utilized for preliminary revisions before the manuscript is sent to a peer-reviewed journal or presented at a more important platform – such as an international conference. The opponents, chosen from senior PhD students, gain an opportunity to develop their evaluation competencies which are required at the academic conferences as well as for the reviewing procedures. Moreover, such meetings encourage sharing of experiences as well as know-how and more generally generate social capital.
