SOUHLAS
Elementary background in sociological theory and methodology as well as in basic demographic facts about modern families, preferably in a comparative perspectives. This course elaborates on selected topics from SOC577 Population studies.

Course objectives
Course serves as (partial) preparation for the MA State exam in the elective field "Population studies". Covers basic topics from the field, including family formation and dissolution, household organization, and inequality between as well as within households.
