- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to analyse main development tendencies, factors and players of monetary integration in the EU, linked to the establishment and functioning of the Economic and Monetary Union. The emphasis is placing on present processes which have led to the step-by-step transformation of the Eurozone (EMU 2.0).
- Learning outcomes
- Describe the position of relevant players in developing the Economic and Monetary Union.
Interpret factors which have led to the Eurozone crisis and ways of dealing with it.
Evaluate the effects of changes in the Economic and Monetary Union on European integration process.
Propose solutions for dealing with the current problems of the further development of the Eurozone. - Syllabus

- Presentations, class discussion, reading, homework.
- Assessment methods
- The course is finished by the exam. The single parts of it are: an active participation in discussions, to give a presentation (group project), submitting an opinion essay and passing an oral examination. For details see the study materials in the MU information system.
