- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is the development of students' publication skills.
- Learning outcomes
- After the completion the course, students will be able to:
- choose a suitable journal for the publication of their output
- transform the output of their work into the form of professional publication in compliance with the actual professional standards and specific journal requirements
- collaborate with potential co-authors
- be ready to publish in the open-science mode
- formulate a cover letter and submit a manuscript for reviews including all necessary formalities - Syllabus
- 1. Formulation of a publication intention and the choice of a journal
- 2. Development of a manuscript outline and, in case of a multi-author publication, distribution of tasks to co-authors
- 3. Creation of a draft version of the manuscript
- 4. Incorporation of a supervisor's comments
- 5. Proofreading
- 6. Preparation and assemblage of auxiliary materials
- 7. Submission of the manuscript for review
- 8. Dealing with reviewers' comments

- the student is the first or only author of the publication or the student has a fundamental share on the publication
- the manuscript has been accepted for review in a peer reviewed journal (alternatively, the manuscript has been considered for publication as a chapter in a book published with a prestigious international publisher)
