- Course objectives
- The objective of the course is to broaden student´s knowledge of classical sociology by reading of and working with selected pieces of primary sources written by the classics. A detailed work with the texts will be emphasized with ability to understand them correctly and put them into a broader social and intellectual context.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course students should be able to identify basic ideas and theses in the selected readings, to interpret their meanings, to apply them on the social reality of contemporary societies as well as compare different sociological analyses of the life in modern societies.
