- Course objectives
- This course focuses on environmental law as a specific field of law. Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with the legal regulation of public participation in decision-making in the environment. Further, the aim of the subject is to acquaint students with the activities of public administration bodies. In the course the students will be acquainted with the rules of good public administration and with the possibilities of active citizens in the control of public administration.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student will be able to: - Understand and explain the general principles of environmental law, - Understand the environmental right regulation system - Clarify the main concepts of environmental law - Apply selected environmental law standards - Solvee selected environmental law issues - Assign issues related to environmental law to selected standards - Explain the importance of public participation in environmental protection - Critically analyze reports on public access to environmental protection - Formulate arguments for shortcomings in public administration

- Teaching methods
- The course is based on interactive education. Students will work with most recent electronic sources and newly created study materials. Students themselves will make an request for information. Students have to attend one meeting of the municipial council and make a record of it.
- Assessment methods
- There will be a written test at the end of the course. Students will work with electronical resources during the semestr. The test consist of 15 questions. 8 coorect answers are neede to pass.
