- Course objectives
- This course will provide PhD students in Clinical Psychology with an opportunity to focus on issues of international context of research in clinical psychology and psychotherapy. Students will get informed about a research work of international experts. They will also be engaged in independent study based on recommended literature concerning the work of the international experts. Moreover, they will be expacted to expand the sources with additional literature related to their specific areas of research. Consultations will focus on critical evaluation of the experts´ work presentations and their scientific work.
- Learning outcomes
- After finishing the course students will: - be able to explain basic principles of clinical psychology and psychotherapy research in the international context. - be able to describe research methods used in issues of international context of research in clinical psychology and psychotherapy. - know the terminology of the main psychological and psychotherapy research terms in English. - will have knowledge of current research trends, methods and topics in the international context of research in clinical psychology and psychotherapy. Upon completion of the course students will be able to: - search for and understand professional primary sources published in the English language and focusing on the international context of research in clinical psychology and psychotherapy. - integrate methodological approaches and knowledge from the fields the international context of research in clinical psychology and psychotherapy. - engage in a scientific discussion on issues in relation to the international context of research in clinical psychology and psychotherapy.

- Course content: Lectures and seminars of visiting international experts in the area of clinical psychology and psychotherapy research. On-going study of a relevant literature.
