Course objectives
Students will acquaint themselves with the basics of radio and television journalism and will build upon the already acquired knowledge of (journalistic) audio and video production. At the end of this course students will be able to: deal with the theories in the field of radio and television journalism. Furthermore, they should be professionally involved in audiovisual media and apply professional techniques in radio and television production. The complexity of the course is based on the requirements of the application sphere, as elaborated in the market analysis.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge - Students acquire theoretical and factual knowledge from the field of radio and television journalism, they can use genres, define specific formats and analyze radio and television journalistic works. Practical and functional skills- students will be able to use their knowledge in practice in making reports, news, direct inputs and podcasts. They are able to work independently. General skills - students will be able to use knowledge and skills in daily news production, work independently and be responsible as editors.

  • Course Structure: Definition of radio journalism. Definition of television journalism. Radio broadcasting creation means. TV broadcasting means. Radio language, podcasting. Basis of radio dramaturgy. Basis of television dramaturgy. Specifics of public media. Specifics of commercial media. Radio and television in the digital, mobile and virtual era.
