Course objectives
The course focuses on the issue of Europeanization of domestic/national political systems in the context of expansion and deepening of European integration. Besides theoretical framework and different concepts of Europeanization, the attention will be devoted to questions of changes of member countries political systems based on Europeanization processes as well. The course will deal with polity as well as politics and policies. The course will be concluded with seminal work aimed at evaluation of Czech political system.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, student will be able to employ concept of Europeanization for analysis of domestic polity, politics, and policy changes. Student will be able to evaluate mutual changes in multilevel politics of the EU and member countries as well.

Teaching methods
The course combines lectures with seminars. In the framework of seminar sessions, students are preparing research proposals which apply concept of Europeanization to various fields. In the same time, they make oral presentation of the proposals. Part of the learning process is also written position papers aimed at active mastering of assigned readings and their interpretation.
Assessment methods
The course is successfully completed by oral exam. The total evaluation includes an exam (50 points), position papers (12 points), multiple choices test (16 points), seminar task (6 points) and research proposal (16 points). It is necessary to get at least 60 points.
