Course objectives
The workshop offers practical experience in creating a podcast - conducting interviews, sound production, marketing. For about 5 students, registration based on individual request, every week in the premises of Radio R. GenZ, around which the course is built, is an already existing podcast with a weekly periodicity, which has found its respected place in the domestic audio-creation in its relatively short history. At the Prix Bohemia Radio 2023 festival, GenZ was included among the ten best domestic podcasts. The documentaries "Rainbow Children of God" by Jitka Uhnavé and "Transitional Arm" by Vilém Brandy published in the GenZ podcast were awarded at the AudioREPORT show in the same year.

Is it a marketing ploy? Yes it is. Generation Z. But. The generation of youngest adults is certainly not uniform, yet it is one that is beginning to shape our world, whether one likes it or not. The GenZ podcast brings their perspective, with their receptivity, sensitivity and perhaps even fragility. Student documentary or reportage or drama and debate with creators, that's GenZ. Do you disagree? You don't have to. Just listen. Let you know.

The phenomenon of podcasting. Broadcasting x narrowcasting. Transformation of mass communication towards a narrower audience, but also towards a closer and significantly interactive relationship between creators and audience.
Learning outcomes
The student will acquire practical skills with the creation of a podcast - dramaturgy, target audience, choice of genre, creation of topic, conducting an interview, sound production, marketing.

Teaching methods
The theory of podcasting in the form of discussions and especially joint teamwork on the creation of a GenZ podcast according to the specific abilities of current students. Project-oriented teaching.
Assessment methods
Successful completion of the course requires active work during the semester, ending in the exam period with a final colloquium in the form of a discussion reflecting the semester's work on the creation of a podcast.
Náhradní absolvování
The course cannot quite be completed in a substitute way, but the collaboration on the creation of the podcast can be individually modified and if it is to the benefit of the team, it is imaginable, for example, to do marketing remotely, i.e. even from a trip abroad, but on the assumption of weekly work and communication online form.
