- Course objectives
- The object of the course is to inform students about political parties on European level, in context of the enlargement of the EU and potential Czech membership. Attention will be paid to attitudes of national parties to the EU.
- Syllabus
- 1. Introduction into the study of European political parties 2. Definition of European political parties 3. European People's Party, European Democratic Unionand the cooperation of christian democratic aconservative parties in the EU 4. Party of European Socialists and the cooperation of socialist and social democratic parties in the EU 5. European Liberal and Democratic Reform Party and the cooperation of liberal and radical parties in the EU 6. European Federation of Green Parties and the cooperation of green parties in the EU 7. Euroepan Free Alliance - Democratic Party of Peoples of Europe and the cooperation of ethnoregionalist parties in the EU 8. Alliance for Europe of Nations, Euronat and the cooperation of far right and right-wing populist parties in the EU 9. Confederal Group of the European United Left / Nordic Green Left, and the cooperation of radical left parties in the EU 10. TEAM, Group for a Europe of Democracies and Diversities and the cooperation of anti-EU parties in the EU; 11. European Federalist Party and the cooperation of eurofederalist parties in the EU; cooperation of single-issue parties in the EU 12. European party system 13. - Rozpis literatury obdrží studenti na začátku semestru.
- Assessment methods (in Czech)
- Ke získání zápočtu je třeba získat alespoň 36 bodů z následujícího hodnocení. Za přednesení referátu v délce asi 15 minut max. 20 bodů, odevzdání seminární práce v písmené forme (cca 10 stran) max. 20 bodů a aktivni ucast na seminarich max. 20 bodu. Tema referatu a seminarnich praci je třeba domluvit na pocatku semestru. Např. dílčí aspekty činnosti evropské politické strany (tj. financování, program apod., perspektivy konkrétní evropské strany vzhledem k rozšíření EU), popř. vztah některé národní strany z členských či kandidátských zemí k EU apod.
