Course objectives
The aim of this course is to mnake its participants aware of the problems connected with population ageing - which is an important demographic and social phenomenon. The course will focus on social definiton of age and on the relatiopnship between demographic ageing and welafre policy. It will also deal with questions which are closely related to ageing: poverty, social exclusion of the aged, health and dying.
