The course focuses on the main topics and issues discussed in strategic studies such as deterrence, weapons of mass destruction, arms control and others.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Předmět je ukončen zkouškou. Podmínkou přihlášení ke zkoušce je odevzdání seminární práce na zadané téma ve stanoveném termínu (nejpozději do 11. 5. 2008) v rozsahu 8-10 normostran. Student se může přihlásit ke zkoušce, obdržel-li za průběžný test (max. 10 b.) a za seminárn práci (max. 10 b.) dohromady nejméně 15 bodů Seminární práce musí být odevzdána v odevzdávárně v IS. Průběžný test bude zaměřen na znalost zadané literatury včetně textů zadaných na reading week. Závěrečný zkouškový test bude tvořen osmi otázkami zaměřenými na zkoumání znalostí problematiky probírané v rámci přednášek a rovněž znalostí zadané povinné literatury. Maximální bodový zisk za jednu otázku 5 bodů, maximální celkový bodový zisk za závěrečný test = 40 bodů. CELKOVÉ HODNOCENÍ Celkem lze v průběhu semestru získat maximálně 60 bodů: 10 bodů (průběžný test znalostí) 10 bodů (seminární práce) 40 bodů (závěrečný test) Známka: A 57-60 bodů B 53-56 bodů C 48-52 bodů D 44-47 bodů E 41-43 bodů F 40 bodů a méně
