- Course objectives
- This course is intended as a conceptualization of the security policy of the Czech Republic. contemporary Main objective of the course is to explain structure, processes and outputs of the security policy of the Czech Republic. Students should be able to analyze various security-political issues in the Czech Republic.
- Syllabus
- 1. Introduction to the study of the security policy of the CR; 2. Definition of security policy; 3. Traditions; 4. Security environment; 5. Basic legal framework; 6. Conceptual a strategic documents; 7. Security system of the CR; 8. CR in the international security system; 9. Foreign security policy of the CR; 10. Military policy of the CR; 11. Regime, societal and criminal policy of the CR; 12. Other sectors of security policy in the CR.

- Each week: lectures, class discussions (including students presentations) Students will receive a final letter grade (A-F) for the semester based on the following components: 10% Presentation; 25% Seminary thesis; 15% In-Term assessment; 50% Final written exam. Grading: 56-60: A 51-55: B 46-50: C 41-45: D 36-40: E 35-0: F.
