- Course objectives
- Course is a follow-up of "Human physiology" and specializes on CNS structure and functioning. Emphasis is put on neurophysiology in general, particular functional units in CNS, cognitive functions, neuroregulation of bodily functions and integration of involved neural, hormonal and immune system.

- 1. Neural system anatomy, development and plasticity of neural fibers 2. Information transfer in neural system 3. Sensoric physiology - sense of sight 4. Sensoric physiology - hearing and balance tracts, senses of smell and taste 5. Somatosensorical system 6. Somatomotorical system I 7. Somatomotorical system II 8. Vegetative neural system 9. Limbic system - emotions, stress 10. Limbic system - nutrition and sexual behavior 11. Learning, memory 12. Speech, functional specialization of hemispheres 13. Consciousness, attention, sleep
