- Assessment methods (in Czech)
- Students are required either to write three position papers on six selected chapters of the book Case Studies and Theory Development in the Social Sciences (each paper on two chapters) or to prepare their dissertation research proposals (please, use the following instruction manual: Guide to Methods for Students of Political Science). You need to make your mind in the beginning of the course! There are seminars in the course (the exact number of seminars will be specified in the beginning of the semester). The seminars are compulsory. If you cannot attend, you will be assigned extra work. Those, who opt for position papers, will be required to present their main arguments in each seminar. Each position paper must be typewritten, single-spaced, and at least two pages long. Those, who opt for research proposal, will be required to report on the progress of their work. The research proposal is due at the end of the semester. It must be typewritten, single-spaced, and at least 10 pages long.
