Course objectives
The seminar is dedicated to Czech writers who were journalists at the same time (Jan Neruda, J. S. Machar, Viktor Dyk, Rudolf Těsnohlídek, the Čapek brothers, Karel Poláček and others). Students analyse their journalist texts. At the end of the course students should be able to: work with information on selected authors in practice.

  • Profiles of selected authors: life and work, journalist activity, analysis of selected texts with respect to the present.
