- Course objectives
- On succesful completion of the course students will be able to compile an concrete field research design. Students will be able to explain the logic of field research and field notes taking. Students will learn to interpret field materials of several kinds. During the course students will learn to identify the difference between qualitative and quanititive methodology. The qualitative research is introduced as a lived participation in the everyday life of social actors as well as shared understanding of mechanisms of social construction of their worlds. The course aim is to introduce and discuss the various dimensions of feminist research such as: notes taking, coding, systematizing and interpretation. The students will be provided with the exercise of critical thought and discussion over the selected readings.
