The prerequisite for an admission to the course is a completion PSY 408 (Councelling Psychology - Relationships, Marriage, Family). Department of Psychology - Faculty of Social Studies guarantees the intership in Center for family and parentship counseling "Bethesda". It is posible to realize the intership in the similar institution - about antecedent stipulation with guarantor.

Course objectives
The course objective is to familiarize the students with institution which offered family counseling and psychoterapy. The main goal of the course is exerciseing and expansion proprietary skills in the trainee therapeutic interview by using recorder and the consecutive analyse of recorded material. Students can try and practice ultimate technics of therapeutic interview. Trainee interview then will be completed by the real therapeutic siting record. By completing the course students should understand tenet and the way superintendence helping interview , that like graduate will be able quicker and more qualified to switch on up use analogousness arrangement or subsequent postgraduate edification in psychotherapy .
Syllabus
  • Nature and service of the arrangement (specialists, practice, cooperation with other institution and specialists) - Organization and frame of the counseling arrangement (juridical station in social services, differences between the psychotherapeutical schools, edification advisors and therapeutics) - Helping process (the client's wish, specialist's scope, aim works, usage diagnostic methods and counseling strategies) - Standard practice and technics of therapeutic interview (axioms plus reef of helping interview, the ways of recording interviews, possibility to see real therapeutic siting)
