Basic knowledge of topics and literature from courses Counseling psychology, Development psychology, Psychodiagnostic of children and adolescenets, Educational psychology is expected. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be acquainted (by form of casuistics) with practical examples of counseling work with children and adolescents, with their parents, teachers (in both pedagogic and family system), with forms of therapeutic counselling, to arrange personal experience for them with some basic diagnostic techniques and procedures, especially how the interpretation of gained results is used in practise.

- Topics:
- Introducing to issues of counselling work
- Elementary school age period (laterality, somatoformic difficulties of children and solving them, school matureness)
- Specific malfunctions of learning – forms of dysfunctions and school succes, what is and what is not dysfuntion of learnig and how to identify the difference, attitudes parents/teachers to dysfunctions
- Specific dysfunctions of behavior – ADD, ADHD, forms of hyperkinetic syndrome
- Dysfunctions of behavior – what can be behind their origin (practical work on casuistic set by lecturer – work in group)
- Children with mental disorder
- Disharmonic evolution of personality
- Talented children
- Children with somatic disablement in normal school (integration)
- Work with parents – how to communicate about the resluts with different kind of parents
- Work with educational system (teachers, pedagogic advisors, school psychologists etc.)

Proposal of topic for an essay:
1.Theoretic elaboration of one of the area from the course, inluding summary of contribution for own personal development and valuation of gained knowledge in relation to the theory.
2.Psychological casuistic of a child with a proposal for possible solution of the problem (practical modeling)
