- Course objectives
- Course is focused on understanding the problems of contemporary Central European cities, especially the city of Brno: it interconnects the education process with a field work and data analysis.
Course conceptualizes especially the development and changes (planned as well as unplanned) of public spaces in Brno. The readings will cover also other issues (housing, housing estates, consumption, demographic change, physical character of places, local policies). It cultivates methodological skills, helping students to become able to analyze existing urban problems. - Syllabus
