Course objectives
Students will be able to describe historical changes of main forest vegetation types during Holocene period. They will find differences between natural, semi-natural and synantropic vegetation, with particular examples of main vegetation types, and their historical, current and future changes in flora and vegetation.
Syllabus
  • Why does the central European vegetation create altitudinal vegetation gradien? history of the vegetation in Holocene; actualy types of natural forest and non-forest vegetation in Central Europe; past and present synantropic vegetation; endangered and rare biotopes and invasive plants in our flora; Future landscapes?
