Course objectives
The subject observes the quantitative and qualitative extent of the European integration. The students are introduced to the common, community and sector policies of the EU, their development, political influences and procedures in the EU. At the end of the course students will orientate themselves in the fundamental areas of the EU activities, understand their functioning, financing and comprehend their impact in the structure of the Communities.

Teaching methods
Presentations, lectures, regular reading, class discussion, videomaterials.
Assessment methods
The subject is finished with an exam. It's necessary to submit a seminar paper and pass the midterm and final test. Lectures/discussions with experts are compulsory. Student may obtain a maximum of 80 points (30 for a seminar work for 10 continuous and 40 for the final test). The minimal limit for passing the course are 52 points.
Classification consists of three parts: seminar work, midterm test and the final test exam. For each of the tasks the student receives points. For the successful graduation it is necessary to get 65 % of all the points within the subject.
Marking system: 80-76: A, 75-70: B, 69-64: C, 63-58: D, 57-52: E, 51>: F.
