Course objectives
The course introduces students to generalized darwinism an alternative metatheoretical approach in international political economy. During the course a major attention is given to balanced politico-economic assesment of the discussed problems. At the end of the course students should be able to: understand and explain the process of change in the international political and economic system; interpret current events in the light of past development and make reasoned decisions about possible future evolutionary trajectories of the system.

Teaching methods
The course consists of lectures and seminars. Students have to submit one paper. It should enhance their ability to apply the introduced theoretical approach to particular issues of international political economy.
