- Course objectives
- Students will be able to describe the dimensions of inequality, describe basic types of stratification systems, and explain the importance of the sociological research of inequality and mobility. Furthermore, they will be able to describe the processes generating inequality and characterize methodological instruments in the study of inequality. They will be able to compare theoretical underpinnings of the study of inequality and evaluate the trend in inequality in own society. Finally, they will be able to make informed predictions regarding the development of social structures and also design an investigation of mobility and inequality.
