- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to develop professional equipment and understanding, how ICT can influence the living situation of individuals or groups and social work.
- Syllabus
- The course covers the following topics:
- digitization and computerization as aspects of contemporary society
- information and communication technologies as a new space for the intervention of social workers
- concepts: information poverty, digital divide, digital exclusion
- practical examples how information and communication technologies influence social work in contemporary society (e.g. online counseling and other opportunities of information technology in social work) The course has the following structure: problems caused by ICT across different target groups, possible solutions, possible answers of social work on individual needs.
