Course objectives
After completing the course a student should know the issue of rise and development of Islam, history of Islamic empire and developing phenomenon of Islamic law. Students should also understand to the radical Islamic groups in some important countries of the Islamic world, e.g. Egypt, Iran or Iraq. Ocassionaly photos will be projected, which would give the students deeper etnographical and socioeconomical knowlegde about respective Islamic countries.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge of basics of Islamic faith with special attention to radical interpretations in different world regions. Students should be able to analyze a phenomenon of Islamic radicalism in chosen country, region or in case of Islamic organizations or groups.

Teaching methods
The course consists only of lectures. The basic topics are being explained during these lectures and relevant photos from various regions of Islamic world are being projected, as well. Students also have to write down a paper on approved topic.

Paper and written exam.
