Course objectives
The course Sociology for Social Policy and Social Work is an introduction to exploring the social structures, processes and mechanisms that shape society. Particular emphasis is placed on their understanding and exploration through existing paradigmatic approaches. Furthermore, sociological themes that are subjects of everyday interventions of experts in social policy and social work are presented.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the student will be able to understand social processes related to topics that can be encountered in the everyday practice of experts in public and social policy and social work. He will be able to analyze different social phenomenon through classical sociological theories.

Teaching methods
Specific themes are presented in a form of professional lectures. Students discuss individual themes and findings from the literature in the seminars. Participation on lectures and seminars, pass two proofs likewise the homework are the preconditions for the course graduation.
Assessment methods
Students read prescribed literature continuously, write test in half session and take an exam consisting from written and oral part at the end of the course.
