- Course objectives
- As political science becomes increasingly interdisciplinary, it is becoming increasingly important as well to use IT in it. The aim of the course is to introduce research approaches based on their use and to provide practical training for students to acquire the necessary skills to use these advanced technologies.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will be able to: - distinguish the areas of political science in which information technology is most commonly used - assess the concrete use of selected software and hardware tools in political science research - carry out their own research based on the use of selected software and hardware tools

- At least six seminars (20% of the evaluation) must be completed for successful completion of the course, to prepare a literature review of political science research based on use of particular software tool (5 standard pages, 30%) and to design a research project based on the use of the software tools presented in the course (10 standard pages, 50%).
