- fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
- there are 14 fields of study the course is directly associated with, display
- Course objectives
- The course summarizes general knowledge about geology (mineralogy, petrology and geochemistry), basics of geomorphology and hydrogeology, basics of soil science, principles of anthropogenic pollution of earth spheres, landscape evolution in the Quaternary and principles of interpretation of landscape evolution.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will be able to describe the main rock-forming minerals and common rocks, to describe the factors affecting the formation of soils, describe the soil profile and identify the main degradation processes and soil factors, to identify the basic erosion and accumulation processes in the landscape, including anthropogenic influences. The student will be able to explain the basic reasons for the need to protect non-living nature.
