Students typically teach topics related to their dissertation, learn how to effectively pass on their knowledge, and provide students with feedback. Part of the course involves mentoring consultations providing the student with feedback on their pedagogical engagement.

- Syllabus
- In the course of the doctoral degree program the student must gain at least 5 credits for teaching assistance. To be awarded with credit, the student is expected to participate in the teaching and learning of Bc. or Mgr. programs of media studies and journalism. The credit is recorded by the guarantor of the subject after consultation with the student's supervisor, respectively by the guarantor of the subject in which the student did the teaching assistance.

- Participation in teaching
- Assessment methods
- Credit is awarded on the basis of the following criteria: only teaching outside the contractual relationship with the school can be recognised, whereby one credit awarded corresponds to 26 hours spent either on the teaching itself or on preparation for it (for each hour of teaching, one hour of preparation counts for a standard course, two hours of preparation for a new course), as well as correcting work, assessing students, giving feedback and consulting with them, consulting with a mentor or marking theses (one marking counts as 8 hours), or, if applicable, marking thesis work. Thesis supervision - all reported on the specified form in hours. Teaching assistance is counted only if it is of a pedagogical nature (consultation, feedback to students, correcting a term paper, etc.); the number of hours to be reported is then determined by the teacher of the course. It is awarded cumulatively for participation in teaching for the entire previous study at one time.
