- The aim of the course will be to contribute to greater communication confidence in public speaking (whether informative or argumentative speeches) through selected rhetorical techniques and practical exercises, which can be useful both academically and professionally, as well as personally.
- Learning outcomes
- Learning basic rhetorical skills. The ability to create a form of public speaking using knowledge of the technique of speaking and body language and with knowledge of the audience. Learn to recognize your communication strengths and weaknesses and work with them appropriately. To improve in handling stressful communication situations. The ability to recognize communication that is unsatisfactory, unsupported by arguments, using rhetorical fouls or manipulative.
- Syllabus
- Self-knowledge through the basic components of verbal and non-verbal communication. The voice as a rhetorical tool. The body as a rhetorical tool. Preparation of an informative/explanatory public speech + own performance. Argumentation in public speech (examples of appropriate practice + argumentative fouls and manipulation). Rhetorical exercises (duels). Preparation of opinion (argumentative) public speech + own performance.

- –cooperative – discussion – frontal (interpretation) – gaming (for verbal and non-verbal communication) – assignments and reading
- Assessment methods
- Active participation in teaching: a) compliance with the conditions regarding the number of unexcused absences, b) rhetorical outputs prepared and completed in the allotted time, c) submission of the final reflection, d) responsible participation in the activities carried out, including homework, e) participation in the colloquium .
