- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic principles of the regulation of selected international business transactions. Both hard law and soft law regulation will by analyzed, including the existence of soft-law regulation and the basic rights and obligations of the parties.
- Learning outcomes
- Student bude po absolvování předmětu schopen: - identifikovat prameny právní úpravy vybraných mezinárodně-obchodních transakcí, - zvolit aplikovatelnou metodu úpravy (přímá, kolizní, soft-law), - orientovat se v základních právech a povinnostech stran.

- 1. international exchange of goods (barter and other forms) 2. international financial transactions - payment mechanisms, including documentary payment mechanisms - bank guarantees - international factoring and forfaiting - connection to the purchase-sale transaction 3. international shipping - individual types of transport and their legal regulation - bill of lading and its forms - damages and its limitation in international transport - specialized issues related to international jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of court decisions in international transport disputes 4. international license agreement 5. international management and consulting contract 6. international investmens

- Teaching methods
- Within the pilot project teaching will be carried out in a synchronous form through three continuous mandatory group consultations carried out in the MS Teams environment. The methods of group teaching, critical thinking and project learning in connection with the solution of typical problems from practice will be implemented. Emphasis will be placed both during teaching and during verification of acquired knowledge on providing feedback, not frontal teaching.
- Assessment methods
- Continuous online completion (via IS.MUNI) combining the theoretical knowledge together with skills. Two theoretical ropots from the field of international business transactions with the exception of the purchase-sale transaction. One ropot testing the skills which is based on the assignment of a typified legal case within the purchase-sale transaction with 4 follow-up questions to be solved according to the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
