Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will be able to work with the sources of Environmental Law, to understand the essence and mission of the object of Environmental Law, in both general and special part of Environmental Law, to explain its functions, to argue its justness. The student will be able to create the legal view for the basic concrete cases, to assign the competent authority and formulate the appropriate filling.
Syllabus
  • General part: Basic concepts,the system, sources, entieties and constitutional grounds for Environmental Law. The participation of the public in making decisions on theč environment. The rights to information about the environment. Prevention in Environmental Law. liability in Environmental Law. Economic instruments for environment protection. Special part: Air protection. Wastage. Water protection. Land and forest protection. Nature conservation.

Teaching methods
Lectures (an analytical look at the contemporary legislation and the judicial acts connected therewith and the application relating to the subject to be lectured. Power point presentations will be used and students will be given an interactive approach during the lecture. Hence students will be given a chance to ask questions regarding to the subject of the lecture). Class discussions. Participation in lessons is not compulsory.
Assessment methods
Oral exam: Student has to prove his or her knowledge of the topic they selected by lot. Classification makes the teacher according to correctness and perfection of the answers.
