- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to pass an examination in professional English. The prerequisite for its passing is to have studied English professional texts at the amount of 150-200 pages. The exam topics are related to the student's specialization.
- Learning outcomes
- After passing the exam students should be able to read and discuss scholarly and expert texts concerning their dissertations. At the exam, the student is to prove that he/she is able to understand scholarly and expert texts, to focus on the peculiarities of the professional style and terminology, to understand the spoken professional language, and to talk about issues related to the field. The student should also be able to write a brief text (CV, research plan or resume of his/her dissertation).
