The purpose of this course is to expose the student to the principal doctrines upon which commercial papers and securities are based. Although it focuses on commercial paper, the bank collection process, securities transfer and their issue, related aspects of securities market are embraced. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- The purpose of this course is to expose the student to the principal doctrines upon which commercial papers and securities are based. Although it focuses on commercial paper, the bank collection process, securities transfer and their issue, related aspects of securities market are also embraced. Students should have a thorough knowledge and systematic understanding of key theories and debates, and a critical awareness of current problems and new insights, at the regulation of securities.
- Learning outcomes
- The course should shown students how to use commercial and securities (bills, notes, bonds, shares) in practice.

- Investment in securities, book-entry of CP, issue of CP, trading with CP
- Bills of exchange - parties to the bill of exchange, particulars - disputable issues, signing of bills of exchange and falsification of the text

- Aval; Significance of presentation of promissory note and protest for non-payment

- Teaching methods
- Emphasis is placed on teaching in seminars, which involves more demanding preparation and the use of alternative resources.
- Assessment methods
- Access to the exam is conditional on active participation in the seminar lessons. The exam is written with a simple Y/N test.
