Course objectives
Students will know theoretical and practical knowledge of the field of the Land Registry at the end of this course. They will be able to work with the sources of law of the Land Registry. Based on the understanding of the fundamentals of the Land Registry, students will be able to explain its functions and principles of its guidance. They will focus on all forms of land registration, both theoretical and practical aspects. Students will be able to formulate the basic legal submissions addressed to the Land Registry Office. They will be able to work with the case law and use it for specific situations. Based on this knowledge, students will be able to propose and justify the solution of specific case studies.
Learning outcomes
The student will be able in the final phase of the course They will be able to work with the sources of law of the Land Registry.. They will focus on all forms of land registration, both theoretical and practical aspects. Students will be able to formulate the basic legal submissions addressed to the Land Registry Office. They will be able to work with the case law and use it for specific situations.
Syllabus
  • Principles of land registry management I: principles of material publicity, note of contentiousness. Principles of land registry management II: content and subject matter of the land registry, subjects in the field of land registry. Entry of rights in the land register. Entry of other data in the land registry. Land register context of co-ownership, easements and interim measures. Projection of court proceedings into the land register, publicity of the land register, provision of land register data. Correction of errors in theland registry , restoration of the cadastral register. Revision and restoration of the land register. Geometric plan, land demarcation. Real estate cadastre from the perspective of a notary. Current problems in the field of land register.

Teaching methods
Seminar, exercising of basic concepts and institutes, consequential discussion, solving of practical model situations, working with judicial decisions, legal regulations and other documents. Specific information about the content of the study will be specified in the interactive syllabus. Communication will take place via e-mail and within the MS Teams application.
Assessment methods
Colloquium: elaboration of the project and its defense by oral distance form through the application MS Teams or ev. oral full-time form.
